I'm Clémence, the creator behind the brand of handmade candles

Paillettes & Sortilèges.  
 

The story begins at Christmas 2020 when I had made a candle with the sweet scent of the Christmas tree to offer it to my  sister. Without knowing it, the concept of Paillettes & Sortilèges was already there, the glitter dancing in the wax, the powerful but not heady scent, the reusable container and the pretty decor.

Faced with her enthusiasm and that of her friends advising me to start in the spring of 2021, I took my courage in both hands and after a few administrative procedures, the development of the first collection and long hours building the website,  Paillettes & Sortilèges was born!

Since then it's all been a little chained. First of all, great encounters with other designers or merchants, in particular Coralie the florist of the shop

Ô Coraly's at La Châtaigneraie who immediately trusted me and believed in me when the project was only in its infancy.

Then your first orders, your encouragement, your compliments which always surprise me and go straight to my heart.

And the exhibitions and Christmas markets that allow me to come and meet you in order to bring you into my world.

 

So Paillettes & Sortilèges why? Because I have always been fascinated by fire, for me candles are magic, There is an almost mysterious side to lighting a match, watching the flame dance and gradually smelling the perfume creating a atmosphere in the room. This allows us to relive memories, fall back into childhood, reminisce about a trip...
